Photo Challenge- Animals


I'mmmmm baaack! Nick and I arrived back from a trip in Thailand just yesterday. What a wonderful place it was! Here are a few shots of animals we came across on our trip.

The highlight of my trip. Meeting the Elephants face to face was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had in my life. Not only did it increase my existing love for these creatures but it strengthened my respect for them. They were so friendly and loving towards us. I felt that as soon as we stepped foot on the ground....
This is known as a 'mud skipper'. We took a day trip to visit a couple of Islands near Phuket Island. We ventured into protected lagoons that were filled with mangrove trees. The scenery was beautiful and incredibly peaceful.... for us..a welcome change to everyday life in the city.
YES a Spider.... but I couldn't help and share this.... I can't actually take any credit for this shot. While we rode an elephant the thai trainer hopped off and took my camera with him. He captured many photos of Nick and I on the elephant. What i hadn't realised until I looked through my photos was that this local was also a wiz at using an SLR!
